Trennan, a mid-ranking Sect member, serves as the liaison between Empress Amara and The Sect. Though Trennan must assist Herrick with his mission to track Riese, he finds Herrick's methods vulgar and unnecessarily cruel.
Unlike most Sect members, much of Trennan's humanity and compassion is still preserved, though his confidence is weak. While he is supposed to prioritize Sect orders, Trennan's close relationship with Amara often clouds his judgment and obscures his true objectives.
As pressure from both Amara and the Sect continues to be thrust upon him, Trennan will soon be forced to choose where his loyalties lie.[1]
